How to Create a Label in Blogger - Step by Step

In this tutorial we will learn about creating labels in blogger. Now  first we will understand what is "Label" in blogger? Labels are the "Main Headings" under which we will keep our all headings related post so that it will be easy for us to find all related post.

Like "Blogger" is a main heading and we will keep all our blogger related post under "Blogger" label.

So we will learn about how to create a labels in blogger step by step.

Step 1

First we will decide that on which topic we are going to write and then we will create a label for that as mentioned in the following image :-

On the right side of the blogger page "Label" is showing, click on "Label" a box will appear in this box right the label name. In this case "Blogger" is the label name so I wrote it here and click on "Done" button. All the labels will be display here as separated by commas.

Step 2  

Now it is time to complete the blog and once the blog is done, hit on the publish button.

Once the blog is published then open it into new window and click on the post we publish.

When we click on the post, the post will open and it will show its link also on the address bar above the title of the blog. Just "copy that link" on address bar.

Step 3

Now  go to "Layout" of the blogger and click on it. See the below image :-

Once click on "Layout" we will get the following image :- 

Now click on "Pages Gadget" and Edit it and we will get the following image :-

Here we can see our pages like :- "Home", "Contact us", "About us" and just above that their is a "Add external link", we need to click on this link and we will get the following image :-

Here we can see "Page title" where we will to write our label name, in this blog "Blogger" is the label name.

And in second "Web address(URL)" we will paste our post link address of blog which we copied earlier and then click on "Save link". Then the image will look like below :-

Now the "Blogger" label is appearing here with the page titles and we can see that "Blogger" has a link address and then simply click on "Save" button given below and after pressing "Save" button click on the "Save arrangement" button, at the top right side of the blog.

Now come back to "Post" and "Edit" the post and select the label "Blogger" and press "Done" and hit the "Publish" or "Update" button. 

Now when we open this blog, our new post will appear under the "Blogger" label and if we are writing any post related to the "Blogger" we will put it under "Blogger" label.
